It can be a very moving experience for everyone involved. We have seen several generations of families make a day of visiting the Liberty Belle to learn what "Grandpa" did in the war. We have seen father and sons share a ride, an experience that will bond them closer forever. We have seen the joy in old men's eyes as they recall their comrades or see their old battle station. We have seen tears too.
So the next time you see a veteran at a Liberty Belle stop, go up an talk to them. Many will share a story or two with you and you will get to meet a true hero.
